Sam Der-Kazaryan

Solutions Architect, Starburst

Sam’s 25+ year professional career spans from programming Atari and Commodore 64 in the late ’80s to helping customers with their Big Data journey in the cloud, and many things in between. Over the years he has built software systems for Fortune 500 companies. bootstrapped Internet startups, headed digital marketing operations for a global marketing conglomerate, ran marketing analytics teams and managed software products. 

At Starburst Sam helps customers address their data analytics needs using Starburst Presto. Prior to Starburst, he managed a team of Solution Architects at Qubole, supporting the US East pre-sales organization. Before Qubole, Sam worked on a medical device IoT system at DEKA. Together, these experiences comprise his 8 year work within the BigData space.
